The Single Most Important Ingredient to Getting Your Message Heard and Valued (Hint: It’s Not Facebook)

Imagine your next interview or sales presentation going really well and feeling like you are truly showing up and are at your best. Imagine that happening consistently and feeling totally at ease when you are in front of a group presenting yourself and your ideas.

Now, take it a step further. Being memorable means you are the one that comes to mind when a speaking opportunity or a promotion is on the table. Having the ability to present with confidence makes marketing easier for business owners and advances careers for employees.

The key to standing out and making the best impression is not having the perfect words or gesturing at just the right moment. The single most important ingredient to standing out and getting your message heard is your personal presence.

The good news is that presence can be developed. You can increase your ability to be present in the moment with a person or an audience. You can cultivate a magnetic confidence that lets you make a greater impact and raises your income.

It takes time and practice to develop presence and to be really good at presenting. A book on speaking or a few tips from the internet won’t make you an expert. Guidance, feedback, and coaching will help you to stand out and be noticed.

I’ve had a lot of practice and coaching to get to where I am today, and I’ve got more to do. I grew up incredibly shy and spent my whole life trying to blend in and avoid being the center of attention.

What I didn’t realize when I started my business was that I had to become a spokesperson and a salesperson. To get clients, people had to know I existed, understand what I offered, and believe I could deliver results.

The idea of networking was excruciating and the simple act of booking a session on the phone made me anxious and my words never came out the way I wanted them to. It was painful to realize my lack of confidence when I spoke was the thing was stopping me from doing what I was passionate about. I didn’t think I would be able to stay in business.

Fortunately, I was invited to a class called The Art of Feminine Presence and I went thinking it was going to be a New Age, warm-fuzzy class. What I got there changed every aspect my life.  I saw that presence could be developed and I committed to mastering the tools in that class.

Today, speaking is the most effective way I grow my business. Videos are a significant part of my business and I’m much more at ease and adept in my teaching. I became the creator of programs and workshops called Present with Confidence where I teach the most powerful tools that made the most difference for me.
