Pelvic Floor Workshop: Pilates and PT

With Studio Flo Pilates instructor, Cassie Nevitt and

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist, Sheri DeSchaaf of SheFit Physical Therapy

 Thursday, February 22, 2024.  5:30pm – 7:30pm
Studio Flo, San Diego

The pelvic floor is responsible for continence, pelvic organ support, and sexual function, and is the foundation of your core strength, yet it’s often overlooked.

In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn how to activate, release, and deepen your connection to your pelvic floor, and begin to understand your own areas of relative strength and weakness.

Discover:

  • the anatomy and functions of the pelvic floor
  • ways the muscles of a well-coordinated pelvic floor activate and release, and
  • some common challenges and conditions that occur when the tension, strength, and coordinated movements of the pelvic floor aren’t functioning optimally.

We will be getting active in this workshop, playing with different cues and positions to access and make friends with our muscles, so come ready to learn and participate.
