Let’s face it, some days spin out of control. Deadline after deadline approaches, stuff piles up, and the people you care about need your input and help. It seems like more than you can handle and you need a way to cope with feeling stressed out and overwhelmed. And, you need it now.

The body is the quickest way to impact our mental and emotional states. Taking a few minutes and doing simple exercises or visualization hits the stop button on the worry loop that keeps playing over and over in your head.

Today’s short video (less than 2 ½ minutes) offers three easy to implement suggestions to help you move from a state of anxiety to a state of calm. A foot exercise will help you to feel grounded. A visualization technique that has you imagining roots offers strength. Taking your shoes off and feeling your bare feet on the ground doesn’t just feel great, it helps you to connect with the energy of the earth.

These exercises and techniques are easy to do and can be performed almost anywhere. In just a few minutes you will feel more grounded, present, and ready to take action from a place of clarity and strength.

I invite you to watch this video and implement one of these suggestions the next time you are feeling overwhelmed. Write a comment below or drop me a note and let me know which suggestion your tried and how it helped you to get back on track and move forward.

Until next time,

Cassie

P.S. This week’s video is part one in a series about how we can access our bodies to change our mental and emotional state, be more present, and feel more confident. Stay tuned for more next week!
